Please note that Samsung devices and certain models, including iPhone 17e, Air, the iPhone 18 series, and Duo, may not support normal voice calling overseas. However, voice calling works normally within Japan. Please check your device model carefully before applying.

② Free Calling Coverage:
The first 5 or 10 minutes of each call are free only when calling Japanese domestic landline, mobile, and other eligible numbers from within Japan. This benefit does not apply to international roaming calls made overseas.

• Verification notice: Even if voice calls and SMS work normally overseas, successful verification cannot be guaranteed because verification requirements vary between Japanese websites. For example, when calling Japan from certain countries, your phone number may be displayed as “No Caller ID” or “Private Number.”

■Purchase Process

1. Payment & Document Upload
   Complete the online payment for the administrative fee and upload your proof of address.
   An electronic receipt will be sent immediately after successful payment. If you do not receive it, please check your spam folder and confirm that your email address is correct.
2. Online Identity Verification (eKYC)
   After payment, you will receive an identity verification email.
   Process: Email verification → Passport verification → Selfie verification
3. Shipping / Activation Email
   After identity verification and address verification are completed, the activation email will be sent on the 2nd business day.

■Proof of Address Documents

Under the regulations of Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, applicants for a Japanese phone number must provide a document proving the registered address or current residential address of the contract holder.

・Driver’s license, residence certificate, or tax-related document issued by a government authority
・Utility bill (electricity / gas / water, etc.)
・Credit card statement, bank statement, etc.

❌ Documents not accepted: Stock dividend notices, insurance bills, rental agreements, addresses of friends or relatives, Japanese forwarding/parcel consolidation addresses, airports, screenshots of bank transfers

■Important Contract Information

1. You may specify activation for the current month or the following month. The month in which you receive the SIM card is considered the first month of the contract. Monthly fees are charged for the full month and are not prorated by day.
2. Additional high-speed data cannot be purchased. If you need more data, you can use ▶JB Data eSIM or ▶JB Data SIM Card together.
3. Age requirement: 18 years or older
4. This product is a service designed for overseas customers residing outside of Japan.In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), individuals residing in Japan are not eligible to apply for this product (telephone number service).
5. A maximum of 5 lines can be registered under the same person’s name.

■Automatic Payment

1. To protect our customers’ interests, we will send the first month’s monthly fee invoice only after you have received your eSIM / SIM. Complete the automatic payment setup by paying the first month’s monthly fee through the payment link in the email. Starting from the 1st of the following month, the monthly fee will be automatically charged.
2. Additional charges will be detailed and sent around the 20th of the month after next following the month of usage, and will be automatically charged together with the next monthly fee.
3. The credit card registered when purchasing the product is only used for payment of the product and cannot be directly linked to the monthly automatic payment.
4. After setting up automatic payment, you can go to 【My Account】＞【STRIPE Billing Management】 to change your credit card or check your payment history.

■Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. If you selected the wrong product type, please contact us directly to make a change. There is no need to cancel and submit a new application.
2. If you request cancellation for personal reasons, the paid administrative fee will be refunded after deducting the 5% credit card processing fee charged by the credit card company.
3. eKYC verification using the original passport normally passes on the first attempt. Since the verification is automatically determined by a third-party system, we can only confirm whether the verification was successful and cannot check the reason for failure due to personal data protection requirements. If eKYC verification fails more than 3 times, further attempts will normally not pass. The system will therefore automatically cancel the order and process the refund. The refund will be made to the original payment method after deducting the 5% credit card processing fee and the ￥500 eKYC verification fee charged by the verification company.

■Contract Cancellation

1. The minimum contract period is 3 months. Cancellation is available from the 4th month onward.
2. If you cancel before completing 3 months of use: a cancellation fee of ￥3,850 will apply.
3. If you submit a cancellation request by the 15th of the month, the contract can be terminated at the end of that month. Even if you cancel in the middle of the month, the full monthly fee for that month must still be paid.
