- Verification notice: Even if calls and SMS work normally overseas, verification cannot be guaranteed because verification requirements vary between Japanese websites. For example, when calling Japan from certain countries, your phone number may be displayed as “Private Number” or “No Caller ID.”

■Proof of Address Documents
According to regulations of Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, when applying for a Japanese phone number, you must provide a document proving the registered address or current residential address of the contract holder.

🗾 If you would like the SIM card shipped to a hotel in Japan, please provide both of the following:
①Hotel booking confirmation (must show the contract holder’s name and check-in date)
②Proof of current address
❌Documents not accepted: Stock dividend notices, insurance bills, rental agreements, addresses of friends or relatives, Japanese forwarding/consolidation warehouses, airports, screenshots of bank transfers
■Important Contract Information
- You may choose activation for the current month or the following month. The month in which you receive the SIM card is considered the first month of the contract. Monthly fees are charged by the full month; daily prorated billing is not available.
- Additional high-speed data cannot be purchased. If you need more data, you can use ▶JB Data eSIM or ▶JB Data SIM Card together with this service.
- Age requirement: 18 years or older
- This product is a service designed for overseas customers residing outside of Japan.In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), individuals residing in Japan are not eligible to apply for this product (telephone number service).
- A maximum of 5 lines can be registered under the same account holder.
■Automatic Payment
- To protect your interests, we will send the first month’s bill only after you receive your eSIM/SIM. After paying the first month’s fee through the payment link in the email, automatic payment setup will be completed. Starting from the 1st of the following month, the monthly fee will be charged automatically.
- Additional charges will be sent around the 20th of the month after next following the month of usage. These charges will be automatically collected together with the next monthly fee.
- The credit card registered when purchasing the product is used only for the product payment and cannot be directly linked to the monthly automatic payment.
- After automatic payment is set up, you can change your credit card or check payment history via [My Account] > [STRIPE Billing Management].
■Cancellation & Refund Policy
- If you selected the wrong product type, please contact us directly to make a change. You do not need to cancel and submit a new application.
- If you request cancellation for personal reasons, the administrative fee you have paid will be refunded after deducting the 5% credit card processing fee charged by the credit card company.
- eKYC identity verification using the original passport normally passes on the first attempt. Since verification is automatically determined by a third-party system, and to protect personal information, we can only confirm whether verification was successful and cannot check the reason for failure. If eKYC verification fails more than 3 times, further attempts will normally not pass. The system will therefore automatically cancel the order and process a refund. The refund will be made to the original payment method after deducting the 5% credit card processing fee and the ¥500 eKYC verification fee charged by the verification company.
■Contract Termination
- The minimum contract period is 3 months. Cancellation is available from the 4th month onward.
- Cancellation before completing 3 months: ¥3,850 cancellation fee
- If you submit a cancellation request by the 15th of the month, the contract can be terminated at the end of that month. Even if you cancel in the middle of the month, the full monthly fee for that month must still be paid.
